Artist Spotlight: Passion & Purpose

Meet Matthew McCants II, better known as Purpose. His artistry comes in the form of a Christian Rap Artist/Praise Krump dancer, cool right? He has been actively involved in rapping and dancing for about 8 years, since 2006. 

Currently, he is a member of the Rescued to Worship Music Group (R2W) and they are touring along the East Coast of the United States. Here's what he had to say about touring/using his talents for Christ:
        I never thought that I would be on tour doing what I love to do but God makes a way and opens doors. I've learned that as you follow God's Will and His Word, He'll make a way for you to go and do what He has for you to do.

He is inspired in his arts by christian rap artist Da T.R.U.T.H, 11Six (Reach Records), Flame (Christian rap artist), The creator of Krump: Tight Eyez, other pioneers of dance, as well as family and friends.

So what does Matthew aka: Purpose plan on doing for the future? Well touring (of course) but more long term goals include opening his own record label  and eventually launching a clothing line. He recently released a mixtape entitled State Of Mind and is also selling State of Mind T-shirts (Links will be provided below!) 

So there you have it! Christian krump dancer, rapper, touring artist, future clothing designer, entrepreneur, an artist following his dreams doing what he loves. That's what it's really all about. Having passion and knowing you're fulfilling God's purpose for your life and the rest seemingly falls right into place...
