And the Most Beautiful Goes to ..... LUPITA!!

Lupita Nyong'o was name Most Beautiful Person by people magazine for this year. Wow.... I think this is absolutely amazing. She is a natural beautifully dark-skinned woman who has gained  so much success for her role in the movie 12 years a Slave.

Being named the most beautiful person is such a big thing. But what if she doesn't feel like the most bueatiful person? I think that we all could learn a little about her and her battle with herself.. And take heed from that. This is a speech that she delivered that emphasized in her own words her struggle with her appearance. Watch.. and Learn... literally

I believe that we all go through a phase where we aren't as accepting of ourselves as we should be. We find things to nitpick about ourselves (too tall, too skinny, too big etc.) and if we continue to see ourselves in that light then we will never be satisfied. We really have to consciously work towards being comfortable in the skin we're in. Is it an overnight process? No but it requires on purpose actions .. Changing your thought process about yourself, picking things that you like about yourself and choosing to stick to those things. And then not being afraid to acknowledge that you aren't happy with yourself is important too.. Because if you don't acknowledge it, you wont work on it.  and the cycle continues.

So Think about yourself? How do you feel about yourself? Ultimately reach a place where you are comfortable in the skin you're in, and in the skin God created you in. He thinks you're amazing :)
