This is the story catching the attention of many Americans today among other things. I felt the need to write on this topic because it's a cross cultural news story that really pulled at my heart strings....

According to my research, these girls were abducted from a school in Nigeria and eventually sold for $12 and  married off to men in a militant group called the Boko Haram.

Although I sometimes feel we should adopt the isolationist approach, I see that we are in so deep in the affairs of other countries we can't help but.... help. We have such a heart for people and this situation is no different. We are seen as big brothers, or police that maintain the peace in the affairs of others. Which isn't that bad. Plus we get to see what's going on in the lives of others in others countries.

Well, I pray these girls are found and returned to their homes safely. I pray that there are steps being taken for justice. Keep these girls and their families in your prayers.
